As summer comes to a close and we transition into fall, we trade in our bathing suits for business suits and school uniforms. 

Let's squeeze the last drops of fun out of the dog days of summer with a few more picnics and cookouts.

Hamby Tees It Up for PGA Championship
Hamby was honored to serve the United Rentals team during their stay at Kiawah Island for the PGA Championship, August 6-12, 2012. As the official equipment rental partner of PGA of America, United Rentals treated several of their top Southeast region clients to the season's last major golfing event, the 94th PGA Championship at the Ocean Course. 
 
Event Coordinator Megan Renszel worked directly with United Rentals to create customized menus to tickle their tastebuds for breakfast, lunch and dinner, during their stay at Kiawah.
 
Once our work was complete, a few members of the Hamby team found time to enjoy the final day of competition on Sunday at the Ocean Course (pictured right). What a treat to be able to combine work & play!
Salad Bar Extraordinaire
The Hamby team enjoys providing our clients with completely customizable menu options. Everyone loves choices, right?  

 

During a lunchtime last week, our culinary team did a trial run of the attended salad bar station. Guests can select their favorite salad ingredients, which are combined by the attendant, and served freshly tossed to each guest!
 
Think about how perfect this station could be for your next corporate lunchtime meeting. With so many options to choose from - locally sourced produce, delectable toppings & house made dressing - this healthful station is sure to please all palates. 
Spotted Around Town 
Yes, it's true. We're jazzed about the makeover the Hamby fleet had last month.  
Whether spotted along the oak-lined avenue at Boone Hall Plantation, at the loading dock at the SC Aquarium or driving through the Old Village en route to Alhambra Hall, we love hearing where the latest sighting has occurred. 

In fact, we'd like to hear where you've spotted the Hamby vans around town! Snap a photo of the Hamby vans (not while driving!), and send the photo to candice@hambycatering.com or post on our Facebook wall. Please indicate the Lowcountry spot where you've seen the Hamby fleet. We will be selecting a few winners, who will be treated to Mrs. Hamby's famous tea sandwiches! Winners will be notified via Facebook and/or email! Extra points for creativity.
