Meet Kristi

A graduate of the Carlson School of Management and lifetime Minnesota resident, Kristi is consistently one of Minnesota' s top realtors--specializing in Minneapolis and the western suburbs. Integrity, expert knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to client satisfaction are what set Kristi apart and have resulted in the majority of her business coming from past clients and referrals.

Testimonial

Kristi was able to sell our home in a buyers market for a very favorable price.  Her experience, preparation and ultimate presentation of our home resulted in an offer in just three weeks, which ultimately led to the sale of our home.  Prior to that time, our home had been on the market with another realtor for seven months, without any offers.  We feel strongly that if we had used Kristi from the start, our home would have sold in a fraction of the time.

Hello,

Did you know that 50% of all home sales take place during the summer? But it's not just the pleasant weather that makes people want to buy a new home. Here's just a few reasons so many choose to move during the summer.

1. The Kids Can Help
With children on summer break, they can help with everything from yardwork, to painting your home if you're going to list it for sale. Moreover, if you are moving into a different school district, your children won't have to switch schools mid-year.

2. Better Weather for Home Improvements
Whether you're selling your home and want to make a few upgrades before listing, or you plan to renovate a home you're buying, the favorable summer weather means that you can generally finish those projects faster than during other times of the year.

3. More Inventory
Although the housing market is competitive now, more people choose to list their homes for sale during the summer than other times during the year, so as a buyer, you're liable to have the greatest inventory of homes to view. As a seller you'll have the greatest number of buyers out looking for their next home.

Please let me know if I can help with any of your real estate needs this summer. I'm always here for you and your referrals
.

Sincerely,

Kristi Weinstock

MAY 2015 RE STATS FOR THE TWIN CITIES

With the sole exception of inventory, every market metric showed continued improvement during May. The number of signed purchase agreements in the 13-county Twin Cities increased 19.5 percent to 6,228. That marks the highest May pending sales count since 2005. Sellers, however, were only slightly more active than last year. New listings rose 0.3 percent to 8,590 for the month. Excluding April 2015, that's the highest number of new listings for any month since the home buyer tax credit period of April 2010. Homes also sold in less time and sellers yielded a higher share of their list price.

How To Know If You Should Stay Or You Should Go

Should you stay or should you go? It's the premise of the popular HGTV program "Love it or List it" and also a dilemma for countless homeowners today.

Many of us can relate to the issue raised on the show. But we don't all have $100,000 and a team of designers to make our old home sparkle again. So how do you know when it's time to cut and run or reach deep into the pockets to make the necessary changes to make your home function for you again?

WHEN TO STAY

Your mortgage is close to paid off. You're almost done with monthly payments and about to own your home outright. Buying a new home would mean taking on a new 15- or 30-year mortgage, or coming up with a hunk of cash.
