One real estate agent recently pulled market data on 750,000 homes across the country. Here is what he discovered about Winter listings:

¨ they sell quicker: 46 days winter vs. 55 days summer

¨ they have a better chance of selling: 59.2% winter vs. 53.1% summer

¨ they sell closest to original price: a 2.7% drop from the final price in winter vs. a 5.2% drop from the final price in summer ( more than $7,000 on a $300,000 home)

This is the perfect time to list your home! With many folks waiting until Spring, you can cut down on the competition by listing now. You will have a solid pool of serious buyers who are motivated by interest rates that are still at an all time low.
