Members of The PROFIBUS Group are presenting 3 papers at this year's Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring show, taking place in Telford on 5/6 November. We also have a stand, number 64A manned by members of the UK Steering Committee.
We're presenting on Thursday 6th November, starting at 10.00 with an Introduction to PROFIBUS delivered by Richard Needham of Hi-Port Controls. This will be followed at 11.00 with PROFIBUS - Design for Operational Availability presented by David Bray of United Utilities. At 13.30 Dr Xiu Ji of MMU will be finishing up with Checklist for PROFIBUS Installation - whose responsibility?

PROFIBUS & PROFINET Conference - Registration now open!
 The conference with workshops and exhibtion is designed for engineers, managers and indeed anyone concerned with the real issues of implementing fieldbus and/or industrial Ethernet technologies.
The event will concentrate on the real issues of implementation, maintenance and management of PROFIBUS and PROFINET systems and will cover latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology for factory and process automation including safety, motion control, wireless implementations, integration with MES and of course, IIoT - the Industrial Internet of Things.
The programme will contain a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions that are suitable for a wide variety of experience; from first-time users to those with extensive experience with working systems.

PROFIBUS & PROFINET Conference - Call for Papers
Stratford-upon-Avon, 23/24 June
We are seeking just a couple more proposals for papers covering the latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology as well as case studies illustrating their use in real world applications. Topics can include system design, commissioning and maintenance and can cover any application area or industry sector.
Interactive presentations featuring live demonstrations and hands-on activities are particularly welcome.
Proposals for presentations or workshops should be sent to The Papers Committee to arrive no later than 16 Nov 2014

Certified PROFIBUS training
The next Certified PROFIBUS Installer course is on 8 December, followed by Commissioning and Maintenance on the 9th.
The next Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course on 25-27 November is for Certified Installers wishing to upgrade their qualifications to Engineer level. (There's a small window of opportunity to obtain the Certified Installer qualification before this date. Contact Ann immediately on 020 7193 8018 to find out how. Don't delay!)
These scheduled courses are presented at our PROFIBUS International Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. MMU's certified training to Engineer level covers the Certified PROFIBUS Installer, the Commissioning & Maintenance module and finally the Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course.
Each course can be taken individually or as part of the full set, depending on the candidates' existing qualifications and ability. Click on any of the underlined links above for more details of each course.
