PROFIBUS & PROFINET Conference - Call for Papers
Stratford-upon-Avon, 23-24 June
We are seeking proposals for papers covering the latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology as well as case studies illustrating their use in real world applications. Topics can include system design, commissioning and maintenance and can cover any application area or industry sector.
Interactive presentations featuring live demonstrations and hands-on activities are particularly welcome.
Proposals for presentations or workshops should be sent to The Papers Committee to arrive no later than 30 Nov 2014

PROFIBUS & PROFINET Conference - Registration now open!
The two-day conference is designed for engineers, managers and indeed anyone concerned with the real issues of implementing fieldbus and/or industrial Ethernet technologies.
The programme will contain a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions that are suitable for a wide variety of experience; from first-time users to those with extensive experience with working systems. It will cover latest developments in PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology for factory and process automation including safety, motion control, wireless implementations and integration with the Internet and MES. The event will concentrate on the real issues of implementation, maintenance and management of PROFIBUS and PROFINET systems.

New Video features Safety on PROFINET
 PI has released a new video about Safety, showing the advantages of PROFIsafe on PROFINET.
Click here to see how PROFINET in combination with PROFIsafe enables solutions where no additional cabling is required; no special link between application and safety solution has to be engineered: Safety is just integrated. PROFIsafe transports critical data in a safe way over the same PROFINET network as standard IO data.

Certified PROFIBUS training - public courses
The next Certified PROFIBUS Installer course is on 17 September, followed by Commissioning and Maintenance on the 18th.
The next Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course on 24-26 September is for for Certified Installers wishing to upgrade their qualifications to Engineer level. There's an opportunity to obtain the Certified Installer qualification before this date at the 17/18 September course.
These scheduled courses are presented at our PROFIBUS International Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. MMU's certified training to Engineer level covers the Certified PROFIBUS Installer, the Commissioning & Maintenance module and finally the Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course.
Each course can be taken individually or as part of the full set, depending on the candidates' existing qualifications and ability. Click on any of the underlined links above for more details of each course.
