Team ATA shined at the 2016 California State Championships this month! Held in Livermore California, the event played host to more than a dozen clubs from all over the state with an attendance of 300 athletes! It was truly one of the largest state championships ever held! Our Development Team continues to improve and impress earning medals and scores well above qualifying! Our Advanced Team's performance showed the poise and experience that these athletes consistently bring to competition events. We were extremely proud of everyone, especially since the qualifying scores will enable everyone to clearly advanced to the 2016 National Championships in early June.
Of special note, ATA won the level 6 and level 10 Team awards! Hard work paid off!
Next stop, Regional Championships the weekend of May 7-8, in Orange, CA. Everyone is nailing down upgraded skills and putting the polish on those skills. We are excited to see our athletes once again take the floor!
On the home front, ATA's Pre Team is gearing up for their final event of the season, held in-house this Saturday, April 30! Since the Spring Show, the Pre Team athletes have turned their focus on to learning their competition routines! We are looking forward to seeing the results of the season with those athletes this weekend!
New, this month for the first time, ATA hosted their first "Acro Clinic"! Attendees got a chance to try out acro basics and participate in pyramid building, top's block training and elementary acro basing. We are looking forward to the next Acro Clinics coming up May 20th and June 24th!
