Giving Thanks!
As we get ready to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, it gives us the perfect opportunity to teach our children the character quality of thankfulness. During the month of November, all recreational classes will take a brief moment each week to discuss what thankfulness is and what we can be thankful for. Encourage your child to complete a thankfulness leaf and turn it into the front desk so we can decorate our walls. Let's make thanksgiving a way of life, not just a one-day event!

Acrobatic Gymnastics Team
ATA's upper level athletes traveled to Huntsville, TX, north of Houston early this month for a special opportunity to train with top Acro Clinicians in the country! Karolyi's National Team Training Camp, played host to close to 150 athletes from around the US.
Though earlier than usual, pairs and groups received targeted work on skills and tumbling, getting a jump start on the new season. With the recent inspiration of Acroarmy, an extra special session was devoted to the creating of small group routines using the creativity and ingenuity of the athletes! Efforts were guided by Ronda Francis, owner and coach of an Acro gym in Missouri.
Camp is always an opportunity to increase "acro" knowledge, build confidence and bond with fellow teammates as well as other acrobats from all over the US. As a special treat, a bonfire was held the final night that included great athlete fellowship, dancing, and s'mores! In just a couple short weeks, we will begin our season of Acrobatic Pre Team!
Pre Team training will be on Mondays or Thursdays and include the learning of acrobatic basics, partner "show" skills, performing, a mini competition and an opportunity to have a great time with friends and staff learning the unique sport of Acrobatic Gymnastics! We are almost full so hurry to sign up!! You can do so at the front desk! |
