The Brief We are instructed by 7 City Learning an international training company specialising in the financial services sector. 7 City have offices in London, Singapore and New York and employ over 100 employees. They require regular, fast, commercial and straight down the line advice on a wide range of employment issues. We report directly to the board including the CEO, Finance Director and HR Manager. The client has an enviable blue chip customer base comprising many highly reputable names in the financial markets. They train delegates from 4 of the top 5 investment management firms; 9 of the top 10 European M&A advisors; 9 of the top 10 trading firms; 9 of the top 10 investment banks. They provide a high quality service to their clients and in turn require excellent service from their advisers. The issues they face on an ongoing basis include drafting of employment and service contracts, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, invitation letters to staff in respect of performance issues, contract variations, compromise agreements on staff exits, a wide range of staff and departmental restructuring including redundancy issues, long term sickness, employee benefits, holiday buy back schemes, disciplinary and grievance procedures and staff loan agreements. |
