Providing a Path to Self-Sufficiency

Often when someone comes to CAC for help it's because they have experienced a set back, such as a job loss, reduction in work hours, medical expenses or divorce.
CAC serves as a safety net to prevent homelessness and hunger for individuals and families of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody who find themselves in need of help and have no where else to turn. CAC provides financial assistance for rent and utilities. CAC also provides food and clothing so that the individual or family in need can use their limited dollars to pay their rent and stay in their homes.
CAC requires recipients to take a financial management class to help them better budget in the future. Adult education classes are offered that enhance life and job skills making them more marketable for better paying jobs.
Six months after coming to CAC, 75 percent of CAC clients have remained in their homes and 61 percent have resolved their crisis that led them to CAC.
This is made possible by donors and volunteers like you who care enough to help!
