New Van is Connecting the Community

Lately Kendra has been going through a difficult time financially. She has two children and lives in an apartment in Sandy Springs. Her mother suggested she look for a nearby agency that might be able to help. Kendra thought there would be no such place in an affluent area such as Sandy Springs. The next day while Kendra was waiting for the bus she was surprised when she saw the CAC van drive by! With its colorful signage and information she knew this was a place she could turn to for help. The new passenger van was donated to CAC last year by Mercedes Benz and is used to bring clients who need transportation to CAC for services. Since the van was donated, the number of senior citizens coming to CAC for food and other services has increased. The van is also used to deliver large items to clients, pick up food donations, as a daily shuttle for CAC volunteers and to shuttle guests to CAC events. We love our Sprinter Van!
