Make an Impact in the Lives of Others with CAC

Here at CAC we have entered the new year running on all cylinders! There are changes in the works to better serve our neighbors in need, expansion of programs such as adult education and the planning of CAC benefit events, to mention a few efforts underway. Want to get involved? Volunteers are needed in all areas of the center. Or consider contributing to your favorite CAC program or benefit event again this year. Your support makes a difference in the lives of families in need in our community!
You Never Know When You Might Need Some Help

A Food Pantry volunteer
giving food.
Erica knew of CAC through her job where she sometimes referred families to places for assistance. Now she was the one who needed help. Erica was a single mother with two young children and lost her job. Having recently moved to the Atlanta area she didn't have any friends or family nearby to turn to for help. CAC helped her with rent when her unemployment benefits were delayed. She also received food, clothing for the children and took advantage of a free financial management class which she found to be very helpful. It wasn't long before Erica found a new job and was back on her feet. Since then she has married and the family has bought a home. Erica called CAC to let us know she was doing well and to thank volunteers and donors for helping her family in their time of need.
Volunteer Openings at CAC

CAC is a volunteer-driven nonprofit, providing services to neighbors by neighbors. We have immediate needs for volunteers to staff the food pantry, serve as food and clothing interviewers and work at the front desk. Volunteers are also needed to teach adult education classes and to serve on the Food `n Fun event planning committee. Become a CAC volunteer this year! Contact Debbie at volunteer@ourcac.org.
