Make Children Happy with Holiday Gifts!
Adopt-a-Family for holiday gifts through CAC and make a child's wishes come true! Your gifts help local families experiencing difficult financial times have a happier holiday season!

Family stories on CAC's Adopt-a-Family webpage describe why local families need help:

This family is struggling due to lost wages and medical bills. The mother had a high risk pregnancy, lost time at work and had high out of pocket medical expenses. They lost more income when the father lost his job. He now has a new job and they are trying to catch up on bills.

This family lives paycheck to paycheck. This father works at a local restaurant. The mother lost her job and is looking for work. They have difficulty meeting their basic needs.

View more family stories and children's wish lists on the CAC website. Select a family and "adopt" online. Donors please spend $50 per child. Gifts must be new and unwrapped. In 2014 hundreds of donors, from individuals to congregations, businesses and civic organizations gave more than 1,200 local children gifts through CAC's Adopt-a-Family program.
Vintage Affair Connects the Community
The 13th annual Vintage Affair raised a record high of $129,000 for CAC!  More than 350 people attended the benefit featuring 16 local restaurants, wine tastings, live jazz and auction fun on October 17, 2015 at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church.
The 2015 Vintage Affair celebrated Connecting Communities. Connecting those who want to help with those who need help... Connecting those who have time, treasure and talent to give... Connecting families from throughout our community! All proceeds will help fight homelessness and hunger in the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities. Thank you sponsors, host committee members, donors, volunteers and everyone who attended for your support!

Grateful in Many Ways
Earlier this year CAC helped a local single  woman who had lost her job. She was surprised to find that such an organization as CAC exists. Without CAC, she said, she would not have been able to keep her home or have food to eat.  "CAC kept me hopeful," she said. "Everyone at CAC that I met was understanding, caring, resourceful and never once made me feel like I was a loser or had nothing to offer. I am truly grateful for this experience because I learned a lot about my community. I feel more connected to the people and the places around me.... I want to thank CAC for all of their help, hard work and dedication." After 6 months of looking for a job she finally found one and with better pay and benefits, too.
