October 2015                               Helping Neighbors in Need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody Since 1987.

Join us for a great night out at the 13th annual Vintage Affair this weekend and support neighbors in need in our community!
Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church.
This highly anticipated evening social event features fun live and silent auctions with more than 100 items, live jazz music by Godfrey & Guy,  hors d'oeuvres, entre and dessert samples from popular restaurants and wine tastings. The Vintage Affair is the largest annual benefit for CAC raising more than $100,000 a year in the past few years. Because all food, wine and auction items are donated, almost every dollar raised supports our efforts to make a difference in the lives neighbors in need in our community.

Hands On Atlanta
CAC is grateful for the volunteer manpower that keeps the Center operating on a daily basis and contributes to projects and events, all of which assist neighbors in their times of need.  Mnay thanks to the olunteers from Mercedes-Benz who came to CAC as part of Hands On Atlanta Day to help with a major re-organization of the Center and paint. Also recently, volunteers from AT&T helped set up the CAC Fashion Sale.  For more information on volunteering at CAC or bringing a group please contact Debbie at [email protected].
Temple Sinai Tops September Food Drives

UPS volunteers delivered and sorted the huge Temple Sinai donation!
September was Hunger Awareness Month and many businesses, congregations and organizations contributed to hunger prevention. Temple Sinai led the way with 6,803 pounds of food collected in their annual High Holy Days food drive for CAC! UPS provided manpower and transportation for the food. Other significant recent food drive donations were made by Temple Emanuel, Northside Hospital and the Cheesecake Factory.
New Sprinter Van Put Into Action
Many CAC clients require transportation because they are either elderly and can't drive or live on low or fixed incomes and can't afford their own vehicles. The donation of a new Sprinter Van by Mercedes-Benz in August has provided a solution to some neighbors who need transportation to CAC for services. Some of the first passengers to ride in the van were residents from a senior citizen apartment complex.
