Pantry Low on Food - Donations Welcome
The community-wide Food Drive Challenge in April supplied the CAC Food  Pantry for May and June. However, pantry shelves have been near empty for most of July and food donations are most welcome at this time. The Pantry often runs low on food in the summer months when donations decline and requests for food increase. Most needed items for the CAC Food Pantry include: canned vegetables, tuna/canned meats, canned pasta meals, cereal, baked beans, peanut butter and jelly.  Fresh produce donations from gardens and farmers markets are also welcome.
Help Local Kids in Need with School Supplies
You can help prepare students for the start of school with the tools they need to learn! When you give to CAC Tools for School  you provide 2 new backpacks filled with school supplies for the price of 1! Your donation of $35 provides for 2 backpacks with school supplies thanks to the power of wholesale purchasing! In addition, every dollar donated will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $10,000!  Make a difference in a child's life, give to CAC's Tools for School and help 1,000 local children be prepared to learn for the next academic year! Backpacks are distributed to children in early August. Or donate large size, heavy duty backpacks to CAC. For more information contact Liza at [email protected].

Serving with Compassion

One of CAC's goals is to serve with compassion. All CAC volunteers and staff  strive to help our neighbors in need with kindness and compassion. A grateful client recently wrote a note on a ripped off corner of a piece of paper and left it at the CAC reception desk....

I love how nice and friendly everyone is at CAC. Sometimes it's hard to ask for help, so it's always easier when people don't make you feel ashamed. I love the coupon box! I can't wait to get back on track so I can donate here and help someone they way CAC has helped me :)
