January 2015                                            Helping Neighbors in Need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody Since 1987.
Happy New Year and Thank You!
Thank you CAC donors and volunteers for helping more than 2,300 local families and more than 5,600 individuals in 2014! Your involvement helps keep our neighbors in need in their homes, and supports them as they makes efforts become self-sufficient once more. This year with your continued support we are working to help more local families and individuals with emergency assistance, adult education and other services that strengthen families, lives and our community!

   Holiday Program Brings Joy!
Local child receives gifts at St. John UMC holiday party for Adopt-a-Family children.
Thank you Adopt-a-Family Donors and Volunteers for helping to make 1,233 children from 494 families very happy this past holiday season! By giving gifts to a families who are struggling through a difficult time, by volunteering your time to register families, by working to receive and distribute thousands of gifts, YOU made the holidays for so many in our community a happier time. CAC could not have had a successful 2014 Holiday Program without you! Also, thank you St. John United Methodist Church for adopting and treating a lucky group of Adopt-a-Family children to a holiday party featuring entertainment, food and gifts!
 CAC Welcomes a New Truck!
CAC recently received delivery of a 20-foot refrigerated truck! This is the first  truck CAC has owned, and the purchase was made possible by a grant from the Atlanta Community Food Bank with a contributing donation by the Shumard Foundation. The truck now gives CAC the ability to pick up large food donations and donations of large items such as furniture! See you on the streets!
Helping in Emergency Situations
A recent apartment fire in Sandy Springs left families with no housing and no belongings. Victims were referred to CAC by local emergency workers for help. Through donations, CAC helps families and individuals who are facing crisis situations and have nowhere else to turn.  We can help with temporary housing, referrals, food and clothes. CAC also provides furniture and home goods to those suffering from an emergency situation.  The next time you have furniture or home goods to donate, please think of CAC and help your neighbors in need.
