Dear Friends of CAC,
Thank you for making 2013 a year we all worked together to make a stronger community. Whether it was volunteer time, financial donations large or small or in-kind donations of food, clothing or services, everything you do to support CAC helps our neighbors in times of need. Thank you for providing holiday meals and gifts for the children and making their holiday a true celebration of sharing.
We have started 2014 with renewed energy and ready to face the challenges that lie ahead focused on providing all of our clients the best, kindest and most effective service. We hope to work with you throughout the year to make this happen.
We're also planning fun events such as a Fashion Show & Sale featuring fabulous donations, the second Food 'n Fun Festival and the Vintage Affair. We hope to see you there !
The Board, staff and I wish you a Happy and Healthy 2014!
In Service,

Donors & Volunteers Make
Holiday Program a Success!
Hundreds of donors and volunteers, including many new to CAC, came together in November and December to make the 2013 holidays a happier time for local families in need. CAC's 2013 Holiday Program was a great success providing gifts to 1,150 local children and holiday food to more than 500 local families. Donors and volunteers made it possible by donating all of the gifts and food, as well as volunteering to help pack, move, register, organize and distribute the items to CAC families. The Holiday 2013 Photo Gallery features just some of the donors, volunteers and staff who worked behind the scenes to help make the holidays a happier time for local families who are experiencing difficult times.

Notes of Thanks
Many families who received gifts through the Adopt-a-Family program left notes of thanks to their anonymous CAC donors. Here are a few...
"Thank you very much for your generosity at this difficult time in my life. May God Bless you for being a Blessing to me and my family."
"Thank you so much for taking the time to help my family. This year has been a struggle for us, so your generosity helps a lot. May God continue to bless you and yours."
"Thanks for making my son's Christmas full of joy and happiness. We wish you happy holidays and God Bless you and your family. We are sending you tons of hugs and kisses."

Girls Give Birthday Gift
Two local first-graders celebrated their birthdays together by asking their friends to help others. Laura and Abby turned 7 this month and requested gift cards to donate in lieu of birthday gifts. At their painting party they collected $180 in gift cards to Kroger, Publix, Target and CVS. The girls are donating all of the cards to CAC to give to neighbors in need. Abby's mom says the girls came up with the idea on their own. This is the third year they have collected gift cards for their birthdays to donate to CAC!
