A Fabulous First Food 'n Fun Festival!
The city of Sandy Springs won a shopping cart decorating contest award with their "Stomp Out Hunger Heros" theme!
Give Food and Have Fun was the message behind CAC's  first Food 'n Fun Festival, a fun-filled, outdoor, family event! We had a great time and so did the families, children and groups that turned out for the games, activities, Hunger Awareness Walk and Shopping Cart Decorating Contest and Parade! We raised food, funds and awareness of hunger in our community and had a fun day at the park doing it! Join us next year for more Food 'n Fun! See pictures online at:

 Holy Innocents' Gift Challenge Underway
You can help CAC give new back packs and school supplies to 800 local kids this summer. Donate to our annual school supply drive, or even better, contribute to a matching gift challenge by a Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church parishioner and every dollar raised will be matched by the donor!  A wholesale provider has agreed to sell us supplies at 50 percent of the lowest retail cost. As a result, every dollar you give becomes four dollars worth of supplies thanks to our generous donor and vendor! Donate online at www.ourcac.org or make checks to Community Assistance Center with "HIEC school supplies" in the memo. Mail to: CAC, PO Box 501298, Atlanta, GA 31150.

Post Properties Throws a Baby Shower!
Don't you wish you knew someone to give cute baby stuff  to? At CAC, we have clients in need of baby clothes and supplies. Post Properties recently held a "Royal" baby shower in honor of Princess Kate to benefit babies in our community. Donated gifts included clothing, toys, diapers, wipes, bedding and more. Their donations filled what were empty shelves for newborn items at CAC. Thank you Post Properties!
Thanking Volunteers

CAC has more than 300 volunteers who operate all areas of the center, and bring in food donations daily as part of the Second Helpings organization. We thank all of them for their service and for helping our neighbors in need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody.  View the photo gallery of the 2013 CAC Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
