Reaching Out to Families in Need

Each holiday season CAC reaches out to local families who sought assistance from CAC during the year. Their stories vary, many have lost jobs, or lost work hours. They can't find employment or are under-employed. Some receive no child support or struggle on fixed incomes. Others face illness and mounting medical bills, while some faced tragedy such as fire or death in the family. We also reach out to you to help give these families an extra bit of help during the holidays by adopting a family for gifts or giving holiday food or grocery store gift cards. Your generosity gives local families in need not only food and gifts, but hope and support from neighbors who care.

Give Kids Gifts & Families Food

CAC makes it easy for you to help local families in need this holiday season.

Adopt-a-Family

thanksgivingHoliday Food

Volunteers Pack 500 Holiday Food Boxes
Dozens of volunteers turned out to participate in a community service project led by the Shumard family to provide 500 holiday food boxes to CAC to distribute to neighbors in need. The Shumards, members of North Atlanta Church of Christ, donated the food and planned the project to serve God and their neighbors. Kroger also donated some food and delivered the pallets to the packing site. Friends, family, members of their congregation and others who wanted to help packed the boxes earlier this week. CAC is distributing the boxes to families this week and again in December.
Donation Gives Office a Make-Over!

CAC's reception area and client interview offices received a much needed make-over thanks to a donation of sleek, modern office furniture from Holy Innocent's Episcopal Church. What a difference it has made to our volunteers and clients who use the updated space every day!

Georgia Gives Day is December 6!

Georgia Gives Day is an opportunity for everyone, in every corner of the state to support the causes that make Georgia great.

We hope you will take part in this event by supporting CAC, your local non-profit that helps neighbors in need right here in our community! Donate online on Thursday, December 6 at www.gagivesday.org
