Civic Participation Resource Guide
It is often through civic participation that conditions change for the better and opportunities are created in our neighborhoods and municipalities and in our state. Civic participation can include voting, volunteering, working with neighbors and public officials to solve problems, attending public hearings, engaging in community conversations with neighbors and contacting and meeting with elected officials. To help you find ways to connect and work with others in your community, United Way 2-1-1 has created a civic participation guide.
