FEATURED ARTIST | | Darrell Miller
Darrell Miller creates elaborate drawings and paintings, often of animals, people, or flowers. Most recently he has been meticulously painting portraits of America's founding fathers. These presidential portraits, featured in the banner above, show off his perfected balance between realism and impressionism. Since Darrel is hearing impaired, visual art is a wonderful way for him to communicate his ideas. He is definitely his own worst critic and has high standards for his creations. He goes through a very lengthy process of drawing, erasing and redrawing an image. Although his process is laborious, Darrell doesn't seem to mind. His patience and perseverance are apparent to anyone who sees him work. When not at the studio Darrell is an avid basketball player and enjoys hanging out with his friends. | Darrell's Carrier Ship is featured in the Small Wonders exhibition
