We are so excited for our big, Annual Open House on November 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Mark your calendars! All of our artists have made a self portrait as part of the exhibition Pieces of Me. Tommy is an artist to the core of his being. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, Tommy has spent much of his life searching for a creative outlet. In recent years, he has truly found his artistic voice in the form of drawings and paintings. When Tommy creates drawings he uses a wide variety of references. His imagery is a completely unique abstraction. His style utilizes bold lines and colors and he seems to gravitate towards figurative work. Many of his successful drawings grow into equally amazing paintings. Occasionally he also turns these drawings into embroidered masterpieces. His self portrait in the Pieces of Me exhibition is just such a creation. (See below for more information about this upcoming exhibition!)
Tommy makes art because it makes him feel happy, and his ardent fans are surely a great encouragement. Tommy has a wonderful support system, especially his sister. In addition to family, Tommy has a plethora of friends who are happy to come and cheer him on in all that he does. Tommy's dream is to draw the whole planet and everything in it. Although this is an admittedly lofty goal, Tommy's prolific collection of artwork is assuredly a great start.

| BIG OPEN HOUSE and PIECES OF ME EXHIBITION | |
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10th from 5:00-7:00 PM
 WHAT: PIECES OF ME will feature self portraits created by the studio artists and staff artists of Open Door Art Studio. These wonderful creations, in various mediums and styles, allow viewers to see the artists the way they see themselves. This unique exhibition will coincide with our Annual Open House, an event for the public to learn more about the role of Open Door in the community. Please join us for this inspiring event! WHERE: Open Door Art Studio 1050 Goodale Boulevard Grandview Heights, Ohio 43212 WHEN: Exhibition on view from November 10 - December 21. Opening Reception coincides with the Annual Open House on Saturday November 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. (Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.)
