Artist Profile: Tresa Gibson
Energy, Passion and Free Expression
Back in February, Kensington Riverside Inn hosted the official reveal of their guestroom renovations and to complete the reveal, we had Tresa Gibson feature a few of her beautiful pieces; a fitting place for both Tresa Gibson and her artwork.
Tresa's art often presents a simultaneous sense of order and chaos, drawing out unique emotions from her viewers. She best expresses herself with a palette knife, using oil on canvas and enjoys creating art that balance color and depth. Her subjects are diverse and her color palette varied. Aspen and Birch forests display a wide array of warm tones in all seasons. Dark cityscapes enlighten the big city feel. Airy bright florals contrast with pure passionate abstracts.
Tresa's inspiration comes from many years of travelling and research. Her travel has taken her from the Canadian Rockies to the Arizona desert, while intersecting big cities such as New York, London and Paris. Her exceptional paintings can be found in homes across North America and in several important corporate locations.
In Calgary, Tresa's art may be found in Latitude Art Gallery and Effusion Art Gallery. For more on Tresa, or to contact, see her website at www.tresagibson.ca.

AMA 2013 Diamond Awards
We are very proud to announce, for the second consecutive year, Chef's Table has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond Award. This is a very prestigious award as Chef's Table is one of three restaurants to receive this rating alongside Catch and La Chaumière. These three restaurants represent the very best that Calgary has to offer in the hospitality & culinary industry.
Four-Diamond rated properties are distinguishable as fine-dining establishments featuring highly creative chefs, imaginative presentations and fresh, top-quality ingredients, not to mention proficient service staff and upscale surroundings where wine stewards offer menu-specific knowledge.
Four and Five Diamond restaurants and hotels make up just 0.2 per cent and 0.4 per cent respectively of the total 59,000 CAA/AAA approved and Diamond rated establishments
throughout Canada, the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. CAA/ AAA rate more properties than any other rating entity and is the only rating system that covers all of North America. It is one of only two that conduct physical, on-site evaluations. CAA/AAA Approved and Diamond rated hotel and restaurant listings can be found in the AAA TourBook guides at any AMA office or on our website. Smartphone users can download the AMA app to locate Diamond rated establishments at www.ama.ab.ca/amaapps.
