TIME OFF TO VOTE

By Massachusetts statute, employees working in a manufacturing, mechanical or mercantile establishment who request time off to vote must be excused from work for a period of up to two hours after the opening of the polls in the voting precinct, ward or town in which the employee is entitled to vote.  The time off may be either paid or unpaid at the employer's discretion.
