Plant You Should Know!
Allium 'Summer Peek-a-Boo'
A 2013 Midwest Groundcovers Introduction! Allium 'Summer Peek-a-Boo' is a sport of Allium 'Summer Beauty'. Purple flowers appear in July and August just above compact foliage. 'Summer Peek-a-Boo' grows to 8-12" tall and 18-24" wide. Prefers full sun. Attracts pollinators and wildlife; is deer and rabbit resistant. Plant with Calimintha nepeta ssp. nepeta for an interesting pollinator combination.

Judy has been with Midwest for 15 years. She is a certified Landscape Designer, certified in landscape and turf maintenance and a former Master Gardener. For her Plant Partners, Judy chooses plants with extended bloom times that enjoy sun to part shade. Hydrangea paniculata 'Bombshell' is a dwarf paniculata with white blossoms that gradually turn rosy. Geranium 'Gerwat' (Rozanne) has clusters of large blue cup-shaped flowers that pop against the blossoms of 'Bombshell'. Geranium 'Gerwat' (Rozanne) was the Perennial Plant Association's 2008 plant of the year.
