Welcome to the 41st MCM

When MCM Lottery Registration concluded at the end of March, an entirely new class of runners had been assembled with a shared focus on reaching the Marine Corps War Memorial on Sunday, October 30. Congratulations on successfully securing a spot in
"The People's Marathon." Oorah!

Spots for the 41st MCM are still available by registering with one of the MCM Charity Partners. Join a charity team to assist in raising funds and awareness by training for and completing the MCM.

The MCM Health & Fitness Expo and several other MCM Weekend events will be hosted at the new headquarters hotel, the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at National Harbor, MD.
Book a room and stay in the middle of the action.

The final 5K shakeout on

the day before the MCM along the Potomac River. Includes brunch buffet and featured speaker, Bart Yasso of Runner's World. Registration opens on April 27.

Special hotel rates for MCM Weekend. Stay convenient to the start or finish lines in Arlington, home of the MCM, or be close to the Health & Fitness Expo, Runners bRUNch and more at the Gaylord National Resort.

All MCM participants must maintain a 14 minute-per-mile pace. At Mile 17, runners must pass the "Gauntlet" by 12:33 p.m. or be diverted to an unofficial course. At Mile 21.5, runners must completely cross the 14th Street Bridge by 1:36 p.m. to "Beat the Bridge."

These requirements represent a change from previous years.

Olympian, author, marathon trainer and

MCM Hall of Famer
Jeff Galloway will host
free marathon training workshops on Wed., June 1 at 6 p.m. at the Navy Memorial in DC and Thursday, June 2 on Marine Corps Base Quantico at 11 a.m.

Adjustable training plans. Daily or weekly workout emails. Participants training with runcoach average a seven percent improvement over prior events. For MCM participants, runcoach Training Service is just $20.00.

Registered runners who find themselves unable to

participate in the MCM may transfer an entry

to an unregistered, hopeful marathoner beginning

June 13. A limited number of registered runners may choose to defer an entry

from 2016 to 2017 starting on August 15.

The MCM's mud and obstacle running challenge

featuring four- and two- mile courses, more than 20 wild obstacles, mud pits and authentic down-and-dirty Marine Corps PT experiences.

Hosted at Officer Candidates School on Quantico. Swim the Potomac, bike 20K, run 5K across the Marine Corps Base and earn an awesome medal at the Quantico Tri.

New in 2016- the Quantico 12K, a 7.4 mile distance challenge at just the right time during Marathon training.
