It's the hottest ticket in town. The run-to-register known as the Marine Corps 17.75K on April 2 grants every finisher a guaranteed spot in the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon. The 17.75K commemorates the year the Marine Corps was founded and equates to an 11.03 mile run through hilly Prince William Forest Park, located not too far from Marine Corps Base Quantico. The event sells out quickly as runners pursue the coveted Access Granted pass. All finishers receive a stunning medal that celebrates the 80th anniversary of Prince William Forest Park. Registration opens at noon eastern on February 17.

The 2016 MCM Event Series includes Run Amuck, the mud and obstacle challenge, on June 4; the Quantico Tri, a sprint distance event with a swim in the Potomac, on August 20; the new Quantico 12K, a perfectly timed training run for the MCM, also on August 20; and the Turkey Trot 10K on November 19. The Series kicks off with the Marine Corps 17.75K on April 2 offering all finishers a guaranteed spot in the 41st MCM. Plan to be part of the MCM action in 2016.
