Getting around on Metro during MCM Weekend is easy. Service begins at 5 a.m. for MCM runners and spectators on event morning. For easiest access to Metro, purchase a SmarTrip card in advance of MCM Weekend.
 
To the Health & Fitness Expo: Access the Expo and Packet Pick-up in a new location-the Walter E. Washington Convention Center by utilizing the Mt. Vernon Square station (Green/Yellow)
 
To the MCM: Take the Pentagon station (Blue/Yellow) to access Runners Village in the Pentagon North parking lot. Signage will direct runners to UPS Baggage Drop and the Route 110 start line in Arlington, VA. The Arlington Cemetery station (Blue) will not open until 8:30 a.m. on event morning.
 
To the MCM10K presented by Aetna: NEW! The MCM10K start will be located near the Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter station (Green/Yellow) on the National Mall.

The MCM Pep Rally presented by First Command and hosted by Runner's World's Chief Running Officer Bart Yasso, will gather marathoners of all skill levels to kickoff MCM Weekend. The Pep Rally includes live music, cheerleaders, light appetizers and prizes. Runners can visit and chat one-on-one with experts from Brooks, Innovation Health, Clif Pace Team, the Beef Checkoff Program, TomTom and wear blue: run to remember. Registration is now open. The cost of the event is $10 for MCM runners and $15 per guest. The MCM Pep Rally will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the MCM headquarters hotel, the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, located at 400 New Jersey Avenue in Northwest Washington, D.C.

For a sneak peak at the MCM finish area, sign up for the MCM Runners bRUNch on Saturday, Oct. 24. bRUNch including Schmacon provided by the Beef Checkoff Program will be served adjacent to the finish line with an entertaining talk led by Bart Yasso, Chief Running Officer of "Runner's World." Registered and non-registered runners may purchase a ticket. All participants will receive a commemorative bib and limited edition MCM coin. The Runners bRUNch begins at 10:30 a.m. There will not be a run associated with the bRUNch. All attendees will receive a free 40th MCM commemorative coin by Sirah Contracting, Inc.

Participants may choose from the variety of sessions offered at the MCM Runners Conference presented by Leidos. Free and open to the public, the Runners Conference will be held on Oct. 23 and 24 in the Carnegie Library's McKinley Theater (801 K Street in Northwest, Washington, DC), which is conveniently located across from the MCM's Health & Fitness Expo at the Walter E. In early October, runners will find the MCM e-card in their in-boxes. The digital confirmation includes the runner's bib number assignment and quick link to essential MCM Weekend information. Runners must print the e-card and bring to the Health & Fitness Expo to obtain the official participant bib or be prepared to display it on a mobile device. Now is the time to confirm an email address to ensure receipt of the e-Card. While ramping up for the MCM, train with Gatorade- the lemon-line flavored sports drink that will hydrate MCM runners on course. Additionally, the MCM will host four food stations including orange slices provided by Wegmans; Clif Shots; Dunkin' Donut Munchkins; and Jelly Belly Sport Beans. At the finish line, runners will receive a hospitality box including tortilla chips; white cheddar cheese dip; animal crackers; almonds; and a Dole fruit cup.

The MCM Travel Desk offers discounted hotel rates for MCM Weekend with easy access to National Airport or the MCM Shuttles in Crystal City. If you want convenient access to your hotel after crossing the finish line, Arlington hotels are for you. If you want to be close to the Health & Fitness Expo and the national landmarks in DC, stay at one of the fine DC-based properties. Runners are urged to move quickly. The MCM Travel Desk is selling much faster than last year.

Parking Panda, the nationwide leader in online parking reservations, will allow MCM runners, volunteers and spectators to purchase parking passes at convenient locations near the Expo, the MCM start and finish lines and throughout the city. Access Parking Panda services through the transportation page of the MCM website or the MCM App. Be sure to check hours of operation to ensure garages are open when needed during MCM Weekend. Free parking is available in Crystal City at the corner of 23rd and Crystal Drive for the MCM on event morning with shuttles to Runners Village.


Own the finish, literally. Purchase a tote, gear bag or other specially-made products created from the actual banners that decorate the MCM finish line. Stash your training gear or just flaunt your MCM status. The repurposed-banner products are available for purchase and make great gifts to encourage and support running buddies.
