Known as "The People's Marathon," the MCM celebrates four decades of accomplishments in 2015 by welcoming the motivated; the inspired; the healing; the healthy; civilians, retired, reserve, active and former service members; military families; and first timers. Enter the Lottery between March 13 and March 23. No charges for registration or training items will be incurred until a runner is officially registered when the MCM announces the field on March 25. Limited Active Duty and Reserve registration, 2014 to 2015 deferment re-registration and MCM Runners Club access begins on February 23. Runners who deferred to the 2015 MCM must follow registration instructions that will be emailed in late January. You ran, you rocked the mock, you crossed the finish line and now, making it official, you can print out the finisher certificate. The 2014 MCM and MCM10K official finisher certificates are available to be downloaded for printing from the Results page of the MCM Website under the "Other Results" tab. Certificates include individual finish time, overall place and overall gender place. An appreciation certificate for the MCM dedicated volunteers corps is also available under the same tab. Loved your #RunWithTheMarines? Well, re-up and run the Marine Corps Historic Half on Sunday, May 17 to obtain the lowest registration fee available. The hugely popular Half has made historic Fredericksburg, VA a fashionable spring weekend getaway spot. The scenic course tours colonial sites and the quaint downtown before scaling ominous Hospital Hill. Fredericksburg is perfectly situated less than an hour from both, the nation's capital and Richmond. Historic Half Weekend features 5K, 10K and 13.1 mile distances. Sign up for the Historic 10K or Semper Fred 5K beginning February 25. It's the hottest ticket in town. The run-to-register known as the Marine Corps 17.75K on March 28 grants every finisher a guaranteed spot in the 2015 MCM. The 17.75K commemorates the year the Marine Corps was founded and equates to an 11.03 mile run through hilly Prince William Forest Park, located not too far from Marine Corps Base Quantico. The event sells out quickly as runners pursue the coveted Access Granted pass. Registration opens on March 11.
