All Historic Half Weekend participants have been emailed the official e-Card necessary to facilitate Packet Pick-up check in at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo on May 16 and 17 at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center. All runners are required to show the e-Card on a smartphone screen or present a printed version at Packet Pick-up to receive the official bib with timing device, technical competitor shirt and event program. If unable to attend the Expo, runners may have their materials picked up by another individual, but must follow Proxy Pick-up directions on the bottom of the e-Card.


The Healthy Lifestyle Expo showcases health, fitness, food, exercise and the interactive Mary Washington Healthcare booth, Pohanka Nissan's camouflaged-covered Nissan Frontier, the Historic Half Store and much more from University of Mary Washington, GEICO, AT&T and First Command. The free, open-to-all Expo will be held Friday, May 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 17 from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.  The Expo opening ceremony will be held on May 16 at 3:30 p.m.

Runners can automatically have split times posted on their personal Facebook timeline and/or Twitter feed. In addition to tracking runner updates over social media, spectators can register to receive split time updates delivered via email or text messages. Results will be delivered instantaneously. Glory, the 2014 Historic Half event program, distributed to runners at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, features important transportation information, course maps, the weekend schedule and more. Free shuttle service will be offered from the Healthy Lifestyle Expo to downtown Fredericksburg throughout the day on Saturday, May 17 so families can enjoy a stroll through the historic shopping district. On May 18, event morning parking will be available in Central Park for half marathoners and in designated lots adjacent to the 10K and 5K start lines for participants in those events. There will be no pre-event shuttle service to the 10K and 5K starts. Spectators can shuttle from Central Park to downtown Fredericksburg on mile seven of the Marine Corps Historic Half course. Post-run shuttles will return 10K and 5K runners to the designated parking locations.

The Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center is offering free visits to runners participating in the Marine Corps Historic Half. To obtain free admission during Historic Half Weekend, runners must simply display an event bib or participant shirt. Runners embarking on the Half marathon or 10K courses will pass the Fredericksburg Area Museum, located at 1001 Princess Anne Street, as they travel through historic downtown


The Fredericksburg Area Museum echoes the City's grand history from its pre-Revolutionary War beginnings that included our nation's forefathers and former Presidents like George Washington and James Monroe, to its prominence during the Civil War.


In addition to free museum access, the Fredericksburg Main Street Initiative is offering discounts to Historic Half runners just by showing the official bib when making a purchase at participating merchants during Historic Half Weekend. 

Modeled after the exact technology enjoyed by a young George Washington while growing up Fredericksburg, the new, free Historic Half App is now available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices. The App offers easy access to event social media channels, instant timing results, Historic Half Weekend event schedule and information including course maps, weather forecast, spectator tips and photo galleries.
