Independence Day Ceremony
10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Celebrate our nation's birth with a patriotic salute! Music, speeches and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence will pay tribute to the history of our nation.
Located in front of Independence Hall, Seating is first come, first served, but there is plenty of lawn to go around.
Independence Day Parade
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Brings your flags, patriotic spirit and plenty of energy to America's best 4th of July parade! Featuring over 5,000 patriotic and multicultural marchers, musicians, dancers and floats. You won't want to miss the 2013 Independence Day Parade!
Parade will start in front of Independence Hall at the corner of 5th and Chestnut Streets. Parade viewers are welcome to stand or sit anywhere along the parade route.
Liberty Bell Tapping Ceremony
1:00 p.m. and 2:00 pm
Join the Descendents of the original Declaration of Independence Signers, as they honor their ancestors be ceremonially tapping this symbol of American Freedom. Choose to attend the ceremony behind Independence Hall at 1:00 p.m. or grab your spot early at the Liberty Bell Center and watch as the Descendents make their way to the Liberty Bell Chamber to ceremonially tap the Liberty Bell.
* Please be in line for the Liberty Bell Center by 1:00 p.m. to gain access to the Bell Tapping Ceremony.
