Lifetime Best Swims in Your 50s and 60s
Chris Ritter on how to swim faster than you ever have
Men's butterfly 2014 summer nationals
In working with many Masters swimmers over the years, I've seen an array of backgrounds and goals. Some swimmers decide to get back into the sport after many years out of the water and others are exposed to it later in life and develop a pure enjoyment of swimming and accept the challenge of getting better.

SWIMMER magazine cover SeptOct 2014
SWIMMER magazine is one of the most visible USMS membership benefits. Because we want to provide the best swimming magazine available, we'd really like to hear how you think we're doing.

We've created a 20-question survey that should take you about 10 minutes to complete. Your responses are anonymous, and the information you provide will only be used to make SWIMMER an even better magazine.

Please take the time to share your feedback about SWIMMER magazine, and many thanks for your help!

What's your favorite open water swimming spot?
Key West Florida, Taz Shepherd
Summer is in full swing, and with it comes open water season in North America. Sparked by a recent article in The Telegraph that explored open water swimming's rise in popularity, we asked our Facebook followers to share their favorite open water swimming locations, and boy, did we get a lot of great open water hot spots in response. Check out Taz Shepherd's beautiful picture above of Key West after a recent swim with the Key West Tri Club

Where's your favorite place to swim and where do you want to swim next? Add your favorite location to the list!

We recently shared a short film about USMS member and artist Katie Pumphrey--who has struggled with fibromyalgia for years--as she readied to swim the English Channel this month. She's currently in the UK waiting to swim. Kevin McCartney calls her "an inspiration." See what else they said, watch the film, and join the conversation
