Welcome to greater Cleveland! The 2015 U.S. Masters Swimming Summer Nationals will be held in Geneva, Ohio, at the SPIRE Institute August 6 through 9, 2015. Geneva is located 45 miles east of Cleveland and 55 miles west of Erie, Penn. We are thrilled to welcome you to our beautiful facility and know that you will enjoy your stay!

WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION

The USMS website is the location for all official information regarding the 2015 USMS Summer Nationals. The USMS site has the complete meet schedule and will post the latest results. Remember to tell your friends, family, and teammates that the complete schedule, results, and live streaming will be available at usms.org.

PSYCH SHEETS AND SIXTH EVENT

Psych sheets and meet rosters are now available.
There are 968 swimmers entered in the meet. Because of the 10-lane course, we will NOT drop the sixth event. All events 200 meters and up will be deck seeded, and all 50s and 100s will be preseeded. All seeding decisions will be announced in a future update. Heat sheets for preseeded events, as well as the estimated timeline, are expected to be posted on the USMS website on or about July 24. Check-in details will be included in future updates (deadlines are posted on the meet page now).
Empty lanes can dampen competitive conditions and we'd like to avoid that when possible. Although we cannot offer any refunds, if you are absolutely certain you will not be swimming certain events (particularly the preseeded 50s and 100s), please let us know and you'll be removed from those events to cut down on empty lanes and provide for more competitive heats. If your travel plans prohibit you from swimming certain events please be considerate and let us know before we seed the meet. Please note that once we take you out of an event, we cannot put you back in. Scratches will be accepted through July 17.

The Venue
SPIRE Institute is one of the largest indoor multi-sport,training and competition complexes in the world. Located in Ohio's Wine Country, the SPIRE center boasts more than 750,000 sq. ft. of facilities indoors and acres of outdoor facilities. It has the unique capacity to simultaneously host clubs, leagues, tournaments, and championship events no matter the weather or the season. Every consideration has been taken to create an unparalleled experience for the athlete, the coach, and the spectator.
The competition will take place in a 10-lane 50-meter Myrtha pool with a depth of 14 feet at the starting end and 8 feet 2 inches at the shallow end. We'll be using Myrtha and Omega track-start starting blocks.
Restroom/Showers/Locker Rooms
Locker rooms are located off both the competition pool and warm-up pool decks. Locks may not remain on lockers overnight and will be removed by facility staff at the conclusion of each day.

 No outside food or beverage is permitted inside the SPIRE Institute. SPIRE Institute offers a full-service, healthy foods option food court just off the pool deck called SPIRE Fuel. This expansive food court features a soup and salad bar, grill station, pizza and pasta area, breakfast selection, and culinary theater. - Signage will be hung by facility staff. Please give all signage to facility lifeguards.

Several airports service the greater Cleveland area and the SPIRE Institite. Cleveland-Hopkins international airport is located 59 miles southwest of the natatorium, and the Erie International Airport is located 49 miles east of SPIRE. An additional option is the Akron-Canton airport, located 81 miles from the facility. Please check with the hotel where you are staying to see if they offer complimentary airport shuttle service.
Parking
On-site parking is available at the SPIRE Institute. Beginning on Thursday, a daily parking pass may be purchased for $10, or guests can purchase an all-weekend pass on Wednesday or Thursday for $40.
RV Parking/Camping
RV parking is available in the SPIRE parking lot. However, overnight parking and accommodations are prohibited and there are no utility hook-ups on SPIRE property. RV camping is available at Willow Lake Campground, Kenisee Grand River Campground, and Indian Creek RV Resort.

Geneva, Ohio, is known as Ohio's Wine Country. Be sure to check out some of the 32 wineries the region has to offer. Several of the wineries are just a short drive from the SPIRE Institute.
Rock 'n roll music is alive and well in Cleveland! The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum sits on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland. Since opening in 1995, the Rock Hall has welcomed more than 8 million visitors from around the world. Current features include the 2015 Inductee Exhibit; Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits; and Paul Simon: Words & Music. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Cleveland is also home to three major professional sports teams, and although the Cavaliers' playoff basketball run ended in early June, baseball season is in full swing. Cleveland's Major League Baseball franchise--the Indians--will be squaring off against the Minnesota Twins, August 7 through 9 at Progressive Field. On Friday and Saturday, the games begin at 7:10 p.m. and Sunday's game will begin at 1:10 p.m. For tickets and more info, visit the Indians online.
