WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION
|
The USMS website is the location for all official information regarding the 2015 Nationwide USMS Spring Nationals. The USMS site has the complete meet schedule and will post the latest results. Remember to tell your friends, family, and teammates that the complete schedule, results, and live streaming, will be available at usms.org.

PSYCH SHEETS, 6th EVENT, AND SEEDING DECISIONS
|
There are nearly 1900 swimmers entered in this event. Because of the two, 10-lane courses, our days are expected to end by dinner time each day with an earlier finish on distance day. Because we have so many competition lanes, we will NOT drop the sixth event. The 1650 and 1000 freestyle events will be deck-seeded by time (men and women combined). The 500 freestyle and 400 IM will be deck-seeded by age group (men and women separate). All 200s will be deck-seeded by age group (men and women separate). All 50s and 100s will be preseeded by age group (men and women separate). REMEMBER, ALL EVENTS 200 AND LONGER WILL REQUIRE POSITIVE CHECK-IN. Heat sheets for preseeded events, as well as the estimated timeline, are expected to be posted on the USMS website on or about April 9. Check-in details will be included in future updates (deadlines are posted on the meet page now).
Empty lanes can dampen competitive conditions and we'd like to avoid that when possible. Although we cannot offer any refunds, if you are absolutely certain you will not be swimming certain events, please let us know and you'll be removed from those events to cut down on empty lanes and provide for more competitive heats (and get us to dinner sooner!). If your travel plans prohibit you from swimming certain events please be considerate and let us know before we seed the meet. Please note that once we take you out of an event, we cannot put you back in. Scratches will be accepted through April 3 (today).

There aren't any new rules regarding swimsuits, but we've received some questions so we've compiled a Technical Suit FAQ. If you're wondering if your suit is legal, please read the FAQ and check Rule 102.12 of the 2015 USMS Rule Book. If you're still unsure, show the suit to the meet referee and ask if it's legal.

 Tracy Weddle Photography will be our concierge photographer in San Antonio. Swimmers can register for individual photos of their swims. Because the photographer is only able to photograph one athlete per heat, per pool, this is a first come, first served service. You can make advanced reservations starting today through this portal. Once your online reservation is made, you must still visit the Tracy Weddle booth in the vendor area to ensure you were the first to sign up in your heat. Reservations can also be made at the booth during the event. |
  Renowned sports photographer Mike Lewis will be on the job capturing the art and action of this year's Nationwide USMS Spring National Championship in San Antonio. As with previous years, images he captures will be available for purchase AFTER the event. Be sure to read the final update after the event for a link. In addition, Mike will be publishing a beautiful photo book, an artistic keepsake of the event. You can pre-order soft- and hardcover options at a reduced price now.

 The meet will begin promptly at 8 a.m. each day. - Throughout the meet you will be asked to exit the pool from either side of the competition course. You may exit the pool using a ladder on the sides.
- Facility staff will hang your team banners around the facility for you. Please turn your banners in to the information/solutions tent and indicate that you would like the banner to be hung. We do not allow the use of any kind of tape in our facility.
- If you did not purchase a Gold Medal Hospitality Pass, please know that we will be offering concessions as there is no outside food allowed through the swim center gates.
- Each morning of the competition, Nydia's Yoga Therapy Studio will be presenting a complimentary, modified yoga class for swimmers, suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Join them between 6:30 and 7:45 for an opportunity to bring your mind and body together for a more enjoyable day in the water.
- NO SHAVING IS ALLOWED on the Northside ISD Swim Complex campus. This includes locker room areas so please plan ahead for your competition prepping needs!
- The San Antonio Convention and Visitor Bureau website has lots of great information to get you to many local activities and attractions, as well as coupons and special rates to help you enjoy your visit. Show your athlete credential and you can enjoy discounts all around town from their Show Us Your Badge discount program.

SPORTS MEDICINE AND SCIENCE COMMITTEE BOOTH
|
The USMS Sports Medicine and Science Committee will have a booth devoted to health information, including skin cancer information and blood pressure screenings. Be sure to stop by and see them in the vendor village. |

FREE HEALTH & SAFETY SESSIONS AND ASSESSMENTS
|
 University Health System is sponsoring four sessions on Friday, April 24, for participants and guests.
10 a.m. and 2 p.m.: Concussion Prevention
A concussion can happen in any sport, at any time. This session will highlight common concussion signs and symptoms, brain rest requirements, and return to school/play recommendations.
11 a.m. and 3 p.m.: Keeping Your Aging Parents Safe
Many more people are caring for their aging parents. This presentation offers practical recommendations for creating a safe home environment to eliminate slips, trips, and falls, the leading cause of death for adults over 65.
University Health System will also offer several free, evidence-based health and wellness assessments that include a series of questions related to your lifestyle, family history, and health and provide a calculated risk of a particular condition. Assessments will be offered in the UHS healthyUexpress mobile clinic onsite throughout competiton on April 24.

 Bleachers located in the stadium will be available for spectator seating as well as seating areas for teams. We also offer tables to rest or socialize at throughout the facility. Our indoor pool also houses a set of bleachers that are out of the sun and away from the commotion, if you need a little down-time. All seating is on a first come, first served basis.
We will have a limited number of tents inside the gates available for rent. For more information on renting a tent, please contact Jeremy Block. If you choose to bring your own tent we will provide an area outside the swim complex's gate where you may set up on your own.
We ask that you remove all personal belongings at the end of each day as the entire pool deck and spectator area are cleaned nightly. Any items left on the pool deck or in the spectator area overnight will be moved to the lost and found.

PARKING AND HOTEL SHUTTLE INFORMATION
|
Parking is available for a rate of $7 per day or $20 for an event pass. There is no charge for parking on Wednesday, April 11, for the general warm-up, but passes will be available for purchase at the registration area. There will be ample handicapped parking, but a placard is required.
The meet shuttle service is available at six of the hotels on the list. If you didn't preorder a shuttle pass, they will be available for $30 in the registration area. Your first trip from the hotel to the pool will not require a shuttle pass, but the return trip will.
