The psych sheets and meet rosters are now available.

There are approximately 1,025 swimmers entered in this meet. Because of the five-day format, our days are expected to end by dinnertime everyday except for Saturday. Therefore, we will NOT drop the sixth event and will instead seed the 400 freestyle by time with the men and women swimming separately. The 800 and 1500 freestyle events will be deck-seeded by time (men and women combined). The 400 IM will be deck-seeded by time (men and women separate).  All 200s will be deck-seeded by age group (men and women separate). All 50s and 100s will be preseeded by age group (men and women separate). THEREFORE ALL EVENTS 200 AND LONGER WILL REQUIRE POSITIVE CHECK-IN. Heat sheets for preseeded events, as well as the estimated timeline, are expected to be posted on the USMS website on or about August 1. Check-in details will be included in future updates (deadlines are posted on the meet page now).

Empty lanes can dampen competitive conditions and we'd like to avoid that when possible. Although we cannot offer any refunds, if you are absolutely certain you will not be swimming certain events, please let us know and you'll be removed from those events to cut down on empty lanes and provide for more competitive heats (and get us to dinner sooner!). If your travel plans prohibit you from swimming certain events please be considerate and let us know before we seed the meet. Please note that once we take you out of an event, we cannot put you back in. Scratches will be accepted until July 25.

Any swimmers who wish to entirely withdraw from the meet and receive a refund of entry fees must submit their request by July 16. Please email refund requests, scratches, or entry errors to [email protected]. 

Located at 1115 Eppley Recreation Center, College Park, MD 20742, the Eppley Recreaton Center Natatorium is a world-renowned swimming facility which has hosted many meets, including the 1999/2000 FINA World Cup and the 2003 USA Swimming ConocoPhilips Summer National Championships. These meets have seen world records set and played host to Olympic athletes from around the world, including U.S. Olympians Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky. The aquatic center is home to the University of Maryland Aquatic Club and the Terrapin Masters Swim Team.

The Natatorium includes an 8-lane, 50-meter by 25-yard competition pool featuring 9-foot-wide lanes. The lanes, gutters, and antiwave racing dividers are designed to smooth the water during competitions. The temperature of the competition pool will be kept at 79 degrees F.

The Natatorium also includes a 25-yard by 30-meter instructional pool with depth of 3 feet to 4-feet-6-inches. The training pool will be kept at 81 degrees F. At least one lane in the instructional pool will be available at all times for swimmers aged 65 and up.

If you're standing behind the blocks at the start end of the pool, the blocks will be numbered 1 through 8 from the window side of the pool.

There are men's and women's lockerrooms available for competitors with ample showers, toilets, and lockers. Locks must be removed from lockers at the end of each day. We will link to a facility map you can use for reference in a future Summer Nationals Update email.
