Be green by accessing these files online
go green keyboard

Please note that USMS is doing its best to be green this year. Therefore, we are requesting that you either download the pre-convention files to your laptop (that you will be bringing with you), print the documents yourself and bring them, or have them printed at a local copy shop.

The pre-convention packet will be posted by mid-August on the convention page. This packet includes reports from the Executive Committee, National Office, and Liaisons & Special Appointments, in addition to committee reports and meeting agendas. It also includes election information, rules, long distance rules, and legislation proposed amendments, as well as other important documents and announcements.

Meeting Minutes
Bye-bye accordion files

In our efforts to go green, the infamous accordion files are being phased out. USMS is paying for wireless Internet in all meeting rooms including the House of Delegates. Meeting minutes will be uploaded immediately following each meeting and will be accessible from the USMS website.

A limited number of copies will be printed and available if you do not have an electronic device from which to view or download documents. Please contact Tracy Grilli if you require printed meeting minutes.

Peer-to-Peer Teleconferences
Learn the ropes from other volunteers
Need to Know
Mark your calendars for the next two peer-to-peer teleconference calls for Fitness Chairs on Aug. 27 and Registrars Sept. 24th (right after Convention when there could be lots to talk about).

The goal of these calls is to provide an opportunity for you to pose questions, get answers, discuss challenges, and share successes as you fulfill your role. In turn, we can use the information shared to help build a repository of best practices for each of our volunteer positions.

Prior to the call, we encourage you to log on to the LMSC Administration Forum to post questions or topics of interest that you would like covered. Email notifications are sent 2 to 3 weeks prior to the respective volunteer and to the LMSC chair. The remaining P2P teleconferences in the 2014 schedule include:
  • Aug.: Fitness Chairs
  • Sept.: Registrars
  • Oct.: Meet Directors
  • Nov.: Treasurers
  • Dec.: Sanctions/Safety
Notes from each P2P teleconference are posted to the appropriate USMS forum for that role (typically under LMSC Administration). Or contact the LMSC Development Committee for a copy.
