Holiday Greetings!
As we approach the end of 2012, we look back to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts to create value for members.
- We've published a new website, including new Member Search functionality.
- We've launched new Sustainability Roundtables with a regional focus.
- We continued to build on the successes of the Institute for Corporate Sustainability in partnership with UNH for those interested in developing a deeper understanding of the issues and opportunities for sustainable, responsible commercial growth.
- We have also continued to offer webinars for busy professionals, opportunities to see firsthand the initiatives of sustainability leaders with our Go On Tour series, our annual conference with multiple session tracks to appeal to a broad audience and of course, our Member Social (join us tonight!).
Our plans for 2013 continue to build on our efforts to encourage sustainablity throughout New Hampshire - adressing your feedback for more regional events, networking and opportunities to share your experiences. In order to accomplish this, we will offer quarterly member socials around the state, continue to build on the sucess of our sustainability roundtables, offering one a month and providing Go On Tours opportunities, as well. We are starting to plan for the Spring Conference and exploring new avenues to meet your needs.
Let us know how we're doing and what we can do to increase NHBSR's value to you.
Wishing you a holiday season filled with all that warms your heart!

2nd Institute for Corporate Sustainability A Success! | Sustainability-minded professionals gathered at UNH in Durham in November for the 2012 Institute for Corporate Sustainability. Participants learned from top thinkers in the field of corporate sustainability, including Walt Freese of Stonyfield and Mark Newton of Timberland. Three days of intensive coursework, site visits, and case studies prepared participants to be sustainability change agents at their companies.
Participants commented that the Institute ... "was exactly what I needed, when I needed it", "will have long-term implications for me; how I do business and live my life". Companies represented at the Institute included Hypertherm, Timberland, Tom's of Maine, Nike, The River Woods Company, Earthwatch Institute, Waste Management, Thornton Tomesetti, Tighe & Bond, UNH Carsey Institute, The Lane Construction Company, C&S Wholesale Grocers and Nature Made Simple. |
