TOGETHER.
Aligning Our Structures to God's Vision
Church Development
Regional Centers for Life-on-Life Ministry

Over the last several years, the leadership of the Conference has worked prayerfully and diligently to discern our God's vision for the Conference. Now we're in the process of aligning our structures to that vision so that we are ready and able to fulfill it. In the proposed by-laws revisions, we are transitioning the emphasis in Church Development from a central location in St. Paul to regional and local clusters of pastors who will walk out the Church Development process life-on-life. It will be significantly more fruitful for our member churches, and it is much more congregational!

Church Multiplication
Healthy Churches Reproducing

Like any living thing, healthy churches reproduce and make more churches. In the Church Multiplication movement, we are equipping hubs, teams, and individuals with the tools they need to start new churches. Making healthy pastors who lead healthy, disciple-making churches has required disciplined focus along with a strategy of equipping people on a local level. The proposed by-law revisions will realign national structures support to regional hubs where people can gather to strategize and learn. Regional hubs in turn will support local clusters of pastors who are growing as followers of Jesus. All of these pieces come together in local congregations to make more and better disciples of Jesus.

Conference Care
Healing and Restoration

Congregations, pastors, missionaries and Christian workers throughout the Conference are relishing the challenges and blessings of ministry in Christ. However, in addition to the joys and blessings there can also be deep heartache and loneliness. Streamlining conference structures through proposed by-laws revisions will enable the ministry of Conference Care to continue to support, counsel and encourage congregations and pastors who face difficult circumstances. Coming alongside those in need through prayer, Peacemakers Ministry, the Minister Under Care processes, the Community Pastors fellowships- and any other way God enables- the ministry of Conference Care works toward the goal of healing and restoration.

As we work together in each area of Conference ministry, please prayerfully consider the by-Law revisions that will be presented for adoption at this summer's Annual Gathering in Rochester, NY. A mailing detailing the proposed ministry flow chart and rationale will be sent in April followed by the specific by-law revisions in May.
