Hope it Floats

Dear HOPE friends and supporters

We're just sending a cheery update on our 2014 achievements and wanted to say a huge thank you to all who have participated in fundraising, supported and donated.

Jo has recently returned from her annual trip back to Siem Reap and you can catch her recent blog here, where you will find out how all the projects are doing (and how well).

We are in the process of renewing all MoUs to work with each of our long standing local partners for 2015.

We're excited to announce too, support has been extended to Grace House to help them fund their youth club.

Thank you also to those who completed our newsletter survey and for those who missed it here's another chance... H.O.P.E Newsletter Survey It really does help us!

Our best news this year (so far) is that we've just secured a further £13,000 of funding from The Waterloo Foundation, which takes us over $200,000 in total funds since we started in 2008. A dollar goes a long way in Cambodia, and that has helped us support over 100 under privileged young adults make great steps to an independent life.

HAPPY Anniversary

We're so excited to be celebrating our 6th anniversary this year! Doesn't time fly?

Thank you all very much for your support over the past six years. Running a charity in our spare time is hard work and we really couldn't have done it without you. More importantly the young adults under the supervision of the grass root projects we support could not have accomplished their personal goals whether it was finishing year 12, learning English, completing their university courses or finding full time work.

Please visit our new Facebook page to like the page and share with your friends.

Have a look through the photo album of 'memories', tag yourselves and click 'like' as reminder of the great work and efforts you have participated in.

Hope It Floats!

The Dragon Boat Event could not have been better (apart from maybe reaching the finals) the weather was perfect, the camaraderie was exemplary and the fundraising was amazing! The crew had to draw on some of the core skills we seek to develop in the Cambodian young adults H.O.P.E supports - team work, communication, determination and healthy competition.

Read our blog to catch up on the days events!

We raised an awesome £2637.51 and the Justgiving page is open till the new year should you wish to make a donation.

Thank you, thank you to all of you in participated and joined in the fun, those who cheered on from the side lines and most importantly those who supported the crew by making a donation.

We would love to repeat the success of this event next year and we've already started a list of keen participants.

We hope you would like to join in the fun too or if you have any stories, experiences or fund raising ideas you would like us to blog, tweet or talk about please contact us!
