SANTA'S WORKSHOP

Holiday fun for the whole family begins here at the Y on December 21st with breakfast with Santa! Afterwards, we will wrap the donated toys to give to Avalon. Kids will be able to have arts and crafts and play lots of "reindeer games!" Santa's workshop runs from 9:00AM - 12:00PM; register at the Welcome Center.

Be sure to bring your camera to record these holiday memories. For more information, contact Heather Springfield, Youth & Family Program Director, at heather.springfield@peninsulaymca.org, or 229-9622.

NEW WELLNESS EQUIPMENT

You told us, and we listened. We're pleased to announce that we have installed a new Concept II rowing machine in our Wellness Center. This is just one of the changes to come. Try it out on your next visit!

MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Watch for this offer coming to your inbox in December!  Invite someone you know to be our guest from December 16th-31st for unlimited use of our facilities...FREE!  Be rewarded with one free month of membership when you refer friends and family who join the Y during this period.

They can try any of our group exercise programs like Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Group Cycling, Power Cut, Step and so much more.  Take a dip in our pool, swim laps or shoot some hoops in our gym.  They can even stretch, run, or lift weights in our wellness center too...the list goes on and on, just like Santa's.

WINTER BREAK CAMP

The weather outside is frightful -- let your kids have fun indoors over the holidays at our Winter Break Camp! Children participate in many activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, games, and field trips. This program serves children from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, and is a great way to meet new friends and have fun in a safe, caring environment.

Camp runs December 23rd, 26th, 27th, 30th & 31st, from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. You may register for the entire camp or just for a day, but you must register prior to attending.

If your child does not currently participate in our School-Age Child Care program, please see Caitlyn Newman, School-Age Site Director, for information about registration. The weekly cost is $85 for members and $100 for non-members; the daily cost is $19 for members and $23 for non-members.

For more information or to register, please contact Caitlyn Newman, School Age Site Director, at caitlyn.newman@peninsulaymca.org, or 229-9622.
 TOYS FOR TOTS

The R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA is sponsoring a Toys For Tots Drive. Drop off your unwrapped new toys before the 22nd of December to help bring smiles to little faces this Christmas.

Toys for Tots is a program of the United States Marine Corps Reserve that collects new unwrapped toys for distribution to needy children in the community where the toys are collected. The goal is to deliver a message of hope, with a new toy for Christmas, to less-fortunate children. For more information, contact Megan Leach, Social Responsibility Coordinator, at megan.leach@peninsulaymca.org, or 229-9622.

FESTIVAL OF TREES

Thank you to all of the amazing sponsors, donors, and volunteers that made our 12th Annual Festival of Trees such an incredible success!

YMCA programs offer participants an enriching environment, and they aim to instill positive character values through a variety of activities. However, program fees do not cover the full cost of our vital community programs, nor do they provide financial assistance so that no one is denied a chance to participate because of an inability to pay. The funds we raise through our fundraisers like our Festival of Trees offers opportunities to those who might otherwise be unable to enroll, and helps make your community a better place to live and work.

If you are still considering making a contribution before the end of the year, please consider the YMCA as your charity of choice.
