FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE

Create precious memories this Father's Day weekend.  Dads and daughters are invited to wear their favorite party attire and join us for an evening of dancing and fun on Saturday, June 15, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Attendance is free for members; however, a ticket is required so pick yours up before the event. Non-members may purchase tickets for $5 at the Welcome Center.

Contact Rebekah Hipple, Youth and Family Services Coordinator, rebekah.hipple@peninsulaymca.org, for more information.

SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS

Did you know the YMCA is a charitable non - profit organization, led by volunteers? We are gearing up to begin an Acts of Kindness Campaign from June 17 - July 31.

Pick up a registration form at the Welcome Center to see all the ways that 15 minutes of your time can make a world of difference to your Y!

Contact Megan Leach, Social Responsibility Coordinator, at megan.leach@peninsulaymca.org, or 757.229.9622 for more information or to get involved.

GOT KIDS?

Are you looking forward to summer break? Or dreading the "I'm bored!" anthem that inevitably accompanies it? If so, check out all the great opportunities offered by the Y to give your kids the best summer break ever!

Day Camp: We offer day camp at RFW from 6AM - 6PM, Monday through Friday, for rising Kindergarteners through 6th Graders. Swimming, field trips, and outdoor fun, all while instilling our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Click here for more information, or contact Blair Barnett at blair.barnett@peninsulaymca.org, 757.229.9622, to make an appointment to register.

Camp Kekoka: If your kids are ready for an overnight adventure, try Camp Kekoka, the Y's resident camp in Kilamarnock, Virginia. It offers kayaking, fishing, archery, and more in a caring and nurturing atmosphere. Click here for more information.

Summer Youth Programs:

If your kids are ready to learn something new or develop their talent, sign them up for one of the Youth Programs summer classes. Classes begin in July, with registration June 6 - July 6.

Contact Rebekah Hipple, Youth and Family Services Coordinator, at 757.229.9622 or rebekah.hipple@peninsulaymca.org for more information.

SWIM LIKE A SHARK

Summer Swim Lessons: Do you have a vacation planned? Going to be out of town part of the summer?

Our summer swim lessons are offered in special two-week sessions, as well as the normal eight-week one. Two-week classes run Monday - Thursday, while the 8-week classes occur once a week. So if your schedule is tight, enroll your kids in the two-week swim lessons and get out there and enjoy summer!

Competitive Swim School: Are you a competitive swimmer? Do you want to be one? This class teaches proper stroke technique, endurance, starts, turns, finishes, and how to compete with a team. This class is a great pre-swim season warm up. Class runs from June 18 - July 25.

Contact Hannah Krzywicki, hannah.krzywicki@peninsulaymca.org , 757.229.9622, for more information.
