We have converted a number of stores over to utilize the VX805 EMV/NFC pinpad solution described in last month's newsletter.  While our supplies of these are still limited for the time being, contact sales at (919) 387-7597x100 to get on the list to get yours as soon as we can.

While this primarily allows you to avoid taking on the liability for counterfeit non-chip cards, it also allows for you to support Apple Pay and Android Pay.  

Microsoft has announced the end of life for Windows 7, the final date that OEMs will be allowed to preinstall and license PCs with Windows 7.  This will be October 31st, 2016.

While you may be able to get a Windows 7 machine briefly past this point, it will be more difficult.  If you're wanting to use Windows 7, rather than 8 or 10, you'll want to get the PC from us in advance of this date.

Note that this is not the same as the Windows XP end of support that occured last year - those dates had been set in advance by Microsoft years ago.  For Windows Vista, extended support will end on April 11th, 2017.  For Windows 7, extended support is scheduled to end in 2020.

Christmas is coming up, and now is the perfect time to add a customer display to promote to your shoppers and speed up transactions.

Rather than a simple two line display, consider adding the pole display that we sell.  This has the following benefits:

• You can customize the look of the display app, allowing you to brand the checkout experience with your logo and store colors.
• Customers seeing the pricing as they check out allows them to verify that they are being charged correctly, reducing wait times for all customers.
