• Who is the first person who says welcome and makes a lasting impression when a prospective student comes to visit?
• Who is that person who knows your name and just enough about you when you first arrive to make you feel at home and assures you that you are going to be OK in this new and different place?
• Who is that person who helps you make sense of all the financial aid needed to get through seminary?

For 23 years the admissions office has had that same person welcoming, supporting, and assisting students in Financial Aid, Admissions, and generally, where to go to get help.

Dorothy Dominiak started work in the Admissions and Financial Aid office in August 1989.  She has welcomed 23 starting classes, which is over half of all the starting classes in LSTC's history.

On the occasion of her retirement from work at LSTC, we will come together as a community on March 6, 2013, to celebrate Dorothy's 23 ½ year ministry  in the Admissions Office!

Please join the LSTC Community for worship in the Augustana Chapel at 11:00 and then in the Refectory from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.  Dorothy's ministry will be celebrated during the Wednesday Eucharist with a rite of farewell and Godspeed. In the Refectory we will continue the celebration with a presentation and a wonderful dessert.
