PARENTS: This Is for YOU!
We will be hosting our next Parent Forum on Wednesday, January 28 @ 6:30PM in The Refinery (Children's & Youth Building). Our topic is Biblical Parenting: Addressing the Heart Before the Behavior. The default solution in our culture is to simply modify our child's behavior. God has called us to lead them to an understanding of WHY they do WHAT they do and to confront, affirm, address and disciple them through the scriptures. Practicing these principles can radically change your family!

There are times and seasons when we all feel ill-equipped to parent and we feel like raising the white flag. Don't lose heart! You are not in this alone. Come and connect with other parents - who've been there before or who are possibly walking through the same season as you and your family are now. Our time will not only be filled with encouragement and direction from God's Word, but open dialogue and Q&A as well. Families of children and youth of all ages are welcome. Hope to see you there!
Men's Prayer Gathering
Tomorrow from 6:30-7:30 AM our pastors and elders will gather in the Connection Center (in the Office building at The Brook) for a time of prayer - for each other, our church, our community, and for the power of God to be working in and through our lives. We would love for you to join us for this valuable time with the Lord.
Time Is Running Out! 
Register for a 2015 Mission Trip Today!
There are only a few more days left to register for the Appalachia mission trip this March. Sunday, January 25th, is the last day. Get your registration form and $50 deposit in by that Sunday. 

Registration continues for Casas por Cristo and Kairos
Guatemala trips, both happening this June. February 1 is the deadline to register for the Guatemala trips. Also, don't forget that registration is open for the November trip to India with E3 as well.  

If you're still contemplating whether or not to go on a mission trip this year, stop by the missions display in the lobby after each service to talk with some of our participants of past trips. There will be a hand out that describes each mission trip, as well as registration packets to pick up. If you have any questions about any trip, please contact our Missions Minister, Sue Ann McCoy. DNOW Weekend
Students, are you ready to get out of the house for the weekend? Then make sure you sign up for Core DNOW (Feb. 27-March 1). You won't want to miss out on the amazing worship, intentional small groups, special performance by rapper KB, and the memories you will make with other students from the Brook during this weekend! The cost until Wednesday, Feb. 4 is $65, after that it goes up another $10. So hurry, go ahead and sign up, and while you're at it, go ahead and sign up some of your friends. It will be one of the best weekends of this school year!

Lunches of Love

A huge thank you to everyone who donated in December to Lunches of Love. With your help, we were able to pack a whole month's worth of weekend lunches. We are so thankful, too, for those of you who are able to come out and help pack the bags each month, Thank You! With that said, because of your faithfulness, we now have bare cupboards once again. We need your help with the following donations of food.

Cereals, Nutrigrain Breakfast Bars, SpaghettiOs, Easy Mac, Ramen Noodles, Fruit Cups, Applesauce, Pudding Cups, Juice Boxes, Peanut Butter Crackers, Peanut Butter, Raisins, and Granola Bars

One Harvest Ministry 

One Harvest orders are due in the Church Office by 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, or you can order online through January 18 by 10:59 PM. To use an EBT debit card to purchase food, contact Amy at 931-434-0235 or Haydee at 757-503-1148. Distribution is January 24, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM. If you have any questions, please call Wanda at 256-503-0485.

Our Generosity                                   
Part of our response to God in worship is giving back to Him. Here at The Brook, you can do this in different ways. You can give by placing your tithes and offerings in one of the Offering Boxes in the back of the Worship Center. You can also give online through our website. However the Lord leads you to give, do it cheerfully, generously, and with a grateful heart!
