Centers Increase Quality While Strengthening Businesses

  

Twenty-three (23) child care centers across Iowa have been recognized for their accomplishments as participants in First Children's Finance's Growth Fund Program. 

 

In addition to numerous improvements to center operations and facilities, 65% of the participants also increased their star ratings in Iowa's Quality Rating System, maintained at the highest level of 5 stars, or achieved National Accreditation.

Growth Fund Program for Child Care in Iowa
$500,000 Grant to Help Increase and Sustain High-Quality Child Care Businesses  

  

The Sam's Club Giving Program announced a $500,000 grant to First Children's Finance (FCF) to provide finance and management assistance to child care businesses in low income communities.

 

The grant will allow FCF to pilot a technical assistance program aiming to improve overall business operations for child care business owners.
