Lead is a dangerous toxin. UMD chemist Bob Carlson will describe some of his recent work on keeping lead out the environment, the implications of "additive manufacturing" such as 3D printing, and the broader implications of developing environmentally friendly new materials.
The program begins at 5:30 PM, with optional dinner and conversation after the presentation. Register in advance by calling the Cable Natural History Museum (715-798-3890). $5 member/$10 non-member.
