I don't know about you, but I've been hearing some disheartening talk of late. It seems as though some people are of the opinion that summer is nearly over.

The hell you say? Here at the Rookery we reject that notion! Heck, it was only last week that we passed the halfway mark in our live outdoor music season. Meaning there still are 7 great performances to come. So before you start breaking out the boots and long johns, come join us on Sunday afternoons to savor the best days of summer yet to come.

This week a last minute cancellation by our original scheduled band prompted us to contact another group that had expressed interest in performing at the Rookery only after our schedule was already set for the summer. Fortunately they happened to be available. So we're very happy to be welcoming Bobby & Christine to our outdoor stage this season after all!

Bobby & Christine are an acoustic duet featuring two voices and one guitar. Their eclectic sets feature well known Americana songs, some instrumental picking originals, lots of harmonies and fairly elaborate arrangements. You'll hear a wide array of ballads and livelier songs from Louis Armstrong to Pete Townshend, from Woody Guthrie to the Beatles, from the Grateful Dead to the Indigo Girls.

Bobby & Christine. This Sunday. Live. Outdoors. Only at the Rookery!

As usual our patio grill fires up at 1:30 and the music begins at 2. All seating is first come first served, so be sure to arrive early to claim yours.
