Mary Bue

Mary Bue

For the second consecutive Sunday the Rookery is pleased to welcome a first-time performer from Duluth to our outdoor stage.

Mary Bue is a singer/songwriter who mixes piano and guitar and sings in a marvelously sultry and cool voice over a fusion of classical, folk, and pop. Her lyrics invite you into her adventures -- barefoot in the sand or walking along the Mississippi -- sharing her trials and triumphs, and keeping you engaged with melodies you'll find yourself humming to yourself long after the music has ended.

An accomplished recording artist and touring musician, Mary has recorded five studio albums and logged hundreds of thousands of miles over the past 16 years, performing in 38 states at countless venues, from tiny coffee shops to large outdoor festivals. She's been awarded Artist in Residence in both Seaside, FL and the Big Cypress Nature Preserve in Ochopee, FL.

In addition to her musical career Mary is a registered yoga teacher in the Viniyoga Tradition. She also serves as Music Director for Duluth's Amazing Grace Cafe and Bakery, a position through which she has referred several other first-time artists to the Rookery.

Mary Bue. This Sunday. Live. Outdoors. Only at the Rookery!

As usual our patio grill fires up at 1:30 and the music begins at 2. All seating is first come, first served.
