The Rookery's signature five course feast has become an annual New Year's Eve tradition for many. If you've joined us in the past we hope to welcome you once again this year. And if not, this would be a great year to start your own tradition.
Because this New Year's Eve at the Rookery will be better than ever. Of course some things, if already great, maybe shouldn't change too much. So we're gonna stick with a menu similar to last year, focused as always on fresh Maine lobster. Including our special housemade lobster bisque, which some people tell us is the main mouthwatering delight that brings them back year after year.
So what could possibly make New Year's Eve at the Rookery even better this year? How about a bonus course? Namely live music by the delightful duo of Madeline Island 12 string guitarist Ric Gillman and Washburn fiddle player Bruce Bowers.
Bruce and Ric, also known as
Barefoot Wonder, have performed on our outdoor stage each of the past two summers to rave reviews. Why Barefoot Wonder? These guys actually prefer to play sans shoes. At least during the warmth of summer. It's anyone's guess how they'll show up dressed for New Year's Eve!
