It's easy during a difficult conversation with your child to focus on how frustrated you feel as a parent. During January's "Got Resilience?" forum, Tracey Masella reminded us to step outside of ourselves and consider, "How is my child feeling?" When we can trace back our son or daughter's angst or argumentativeness to core needs for acceptance or autonomy, or an underlying fear or anxiety, we can engage in hard conversations with perspective.
