"Allow your kids to fail - fast, early and inexpensively." - Vince Benevento
During our "Got Resilience" Panel this January, nearly every panelist encouraged parents in Darien to do one thing: "Allow your kids to fail." Nothing builds resilience and character in our children like the opportunity to persevere and overcome adversity. This week, as you respond to challenges in your child's life, ask yourself these questions, "Will this choice further help my child understand the connection between choice and consequence? Will this choice enable my child to develop perseverance and problem-solving skills?"
